Heard about Pinterest?
Pinterest was founded in 2010. In a nutshell, Pinterest provides an online service that enables users to organize and share various things on the Web. It offers Virtual “Pinboard”, which connects people based on shared tastes and interests.
Pinterest isn’t just another social media network.
What appears to be the fastest-growing social media site ever has become a huge traffic referral (arguably, more powerful than Google+) for all businesses. An increasing number of companies are leveraging the platform to reach a new audience, increase visits to their websites, and generate leads or retail sales. And guess what? It’s working.
In April Pinterest introduced a new feature that allows for even more self-expression. The site, where millions of people ‘pin’ products to collections called ‘boards,’ has introduced board covers. The new feature, live now, is as simple as they come. As members mouse over boards, they’re greeted with an ‘Edit board cover’ button, which they click to highlight a favorite pin. The board-cover option also enables users to drag images around for optimal placement. The board-cover feature, a relatively minor update to the overall Pinterest experience, replaces the former default look in which the most recent pin served as the board cover. It ties in nicely with the recently enhanced profile pages by adding a pinch more overall panache.
